DRC Local Production

Our first clean cookstove assembly line in the Aru Region is now running, powered by SSM's quality components and equipment. Led by an all-female team, it produces 3,000 stoves monthly (with scalable capacity), distributed via our partners' 165+ shops across 26 provinces to deliver clean cooking to more local families.

Laos

In Laos, 70% of rural households rely on firewood, causing severe indoor air pollution. To address this, SSM and local partners have supplied 120,000 highly efficient, fuel-saving improved cookstoves. Each unit passes rigorous third-party inspections at both manufacture and delivery to safeguard rural families.

Nepal

Addressing cooking safety, SSM partnered with our Nepal distributor to supply 8,640 units to rural communities. As the only natural draft stove passing the RETS Tier 3 standard, these improved stoves are highly efficient and smokeless—saving money, improving health, curbing deforestation, and successfully advancing our target of over 20,000 units.

Nigeria

SSM supplied SOSAI over 22,000 cookstoves to Kano, Nigeria, with local staff completing assembly under SSM training and maintenance support. This initiative empowers rural communities to cook healthier meals using less fuel, driving our commitment to improving lives through renewable energy development.

Mexico

In Mexico, households spend 15-20% of income on firewood. Addressing this, SSM worked with SEDESOL and governments to distribute 21,000+ Zoom Planchas across mountainous regions. Featuring a chimney and double burners, these stoves save time, cut fuel by 65-80%, and reduce deforestation.
